The Museum of Texas Tech University is celebrating the promised gift of 450 quilts from quilt historian Lisa Erlandson with an exhibition featuring 40 of her quilts, on display now through August 17, 2025. One of the quilts Mrs. Erlandson has already donated to the museum is the beautiful 1845 Mathematical Star Quilt.

Mexican Rose Quilt

This Mexican Rose Quilt, referred to by the family as the Tulip and Vine, was donated to the Museum of Texas Tech University in 1953. It was gifted to the museum's founding director, Dr. William Curry Holden, by his mother, Grace Eleanor Davis Holden (1870-1951). Two years after her passing, he donated it to the museum.
