Mexican Rose Quilt
This Mexican Rose Quilt, referred to by the family as the Tulip and Vine, was donated to the Museum of Texas Tech University in 1953. It was gifted to the museum's founding director, Dr. William Curry Holden, by his mother, Grace Eleanor Davis Holden (1870-1951). Two years after her passing, he donated it to the museum.
The quilt’s pattern has historical significance due to its connection to the Mexican War of 1846-48.
