Global Quilting Techniques
Global Quilting Techniques - Latest Class
Join Dee Christopher to explore 3 different Global Quilting Techniques in this FREE class.
- First, Dee will teach about Mola, a reverse applique technique from Panama and Colombia where multiple, contrasting fabrics are layered together and then cut to reveal a design.
- Next, Dee will teach about Hawaiian Quilting, which uses large radially symmetric applique patterns that are often botanical, and are made from a single cut on folded fabric.
- Finally, Dee will teach about Tivaevae, an applique style from the Cook Islands that is typically made from brightly coloured fabrics and includes geometric shapes, flower and animal designs.
This class was originally created during multiple Facebook LIVE sessions. These are recordings of those sessions.
