Robin Long, the designer of Summer Bloom and Winter Wreath, master of the Mariners Compass and owner of Robin Ruth Design will teach you her process for constructing these beautiful quilts using strip-piecing and her specialized Mariners Compass Rulers. Her revolutionary method enables you to make this once tedious block quickly and accurately and put it into practice making your quilt.
 
The project will be broken into three classes offered over the span of 3 months, with video instruction and a live class offered each month.

Hi Robin Thank you for your class. Between your book and video I made the 12 inch Mariners compass. I will post a picture.
My question. On the Mariner compass construction page 4 of the book the cut out instruction says to cut 1, 2 1/4 inch...

My question. On the Mariner compass construction page 4 of the book the cut out instruction says to cut 1, 2 1/4 inch strip for point 1 but on the video you said cut 2 1/2 inch strips.
Also for point 2 strip the book says cut a 3 inch strip but on the video you say 3 3/4 inch strip. So I went with what you said rather than the book. Is there something I missed and will the book instruction work just like your verbal instruction?
