Dee I have the download pattern My Flower Garden, it is different from what you have, in that you have My flower Garden Companion Pattern. Is that a teaching pattern? Can I get a copy of that? It shows more than the pattern I have. I am not in your live class, since I am currently taking the Color My world class, but it sure looks like I am missing a lot of information.
Thanks for any help. Eileen

Dee

Thanks so much for the Triple Triangle formula. I put it in my book of tricks. I struggle with bias. It grows in my hands, so I'm always looking for tricks to avoid bias. Thanks again.

Hi Dee! I hope this is the right place to post a question! I loved your instruction on the triple triangle block. BUT---I am doing something wrong. When I try it, my block comes out too big. I have done it twice so I have something wrong with the instructions. I added 1/2 in. to the square. I made my rectangle the same width as the square but added 1 in. to the length. Cut my 2 diagonals and cut the seams to 1/4 in. Came out too big both times I tried. Can you go over that process again in this week's lesson? I did get the block made but I used the directions in the pattern.
Looking forward to this week's lesson on applique. My problem with cutting the pieces for applique is reversing the pattern or not and how to figure out what side of the fusible goes where. I am direction challenged----I think because I am left handed. Looking forward to Saturday.

I had to rewatch video several times finally get the Triple Triangle. Should have 2 squares 2 1/2" 2 rectangles 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 1 rectangle 4 1/2 x 5 1/2. This will yield 2 triple triangle blocks. Repeat for 2 more.

The bumpy side of the fusible is ironed to the wrong side of fabric. I always check each pattern before I trace to see if its reverse or not. Sometomes it's done both ways.
