Pick a Petal - BOM 2024 - Month 02

Month 2 brings the first of our pieced border blocks. This block is a fun interpretation of a classic nine-patch, set against a curve.

Included in Month 2 is an alternate method for piecing the border fans. Barbara Black provided information on this process, go here. We are also providing the Month 11 template for those of you who want to begin your piecing of that section of the quilt.

I found it. Search Pick A Petal. At the bottom you will see Barbara Black Facebook Live. Click on that and you will find all of the videos Barbara ha done.

Hi, there is a video for block 2. It’s confusing because the actually call it month 2 block 1. Barbara does a great job showing an alternative way to make the blocks that she explains further on her blog.

I found the coloring page in the Pick A Petal introduction page. Just search Pick A Petal and the first introduction section will have it.

You had mentioned that the kit did not have a lot of extra fabric. With that in mind, if I do the paper piecing method on the fans will I run out of fabric?
