Annie Get Your Fun - Part 5 - Mesh Bottom Bag
Learn how to make a hand-crafted quilted mesh-bottom bag.
Howdy! In this video, Ann shares her experiences while visiting Eugene and Forest Grove, Oregon. She meets up with Shelly Heesacker, TheQuiltShow.com Producer, who shares her favorite local places with Ann. The project this week is a little hand-crafted quilted mesh-bottom bag for collecting rocks and/or harvesting mushrooms. The front and back of the bag are hand-stitched log cabin blocks made with scraps of yarn. If you have quilt blocks left over from previous projects - they will work as well. Ann uses scraps of yarn and crochets squares for the sides of the bag.
You can also use the Gypsy Sachel kits from her Etsy store to make two Mesh Bottom Bags. You will also need to stop by your local hardware store, Ann uses screening for the mesh bottom! Ann's video walks you through the process she used to create her Mesh Bottom Bag. Gypsy Sachel kits may be available in Ann's Etsy shop at AnnMyhreDesigns.
