Hand Quilting - Lesson 22 - No Sheets!
Alex talks about the importance of sheets.
A quick word about sheets! Quilting fabric is 60-70 threads per inch while sheets are 200-600 threads per inch and more. Hand quilting with a sheet as the backing is not recommended due to the difficulty with pushing a needle through the quilt top, batting and sheet backing. If a sheet meets your needs and you are machine quilting - the choice is yours.
