Behind every stitch, there is a story... Stitched, the Film, is an award-winning documentary that gives audiences a peek into the lives of quilters that are competitive. It starts and finishes with the Houston quilt show, the biggest event in the country with more than 50,000 quilters in attendance. Who’ll win Best of Show? Who is using quilts to emphasize some of the social and environmental ills of the world? What are the stories behind the quilts and the quilters? In the documentary, they follow three well-known quilters as they prepare for the forthcoming International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. Hollis Chatelain, Randall Cook and Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry each have a syle that is unique. Watch as they push the boundaries of traditional quilting, eschewing block designs and pastels for forms that are brilliant.
