Two of Us BOM 2013 - Month 04 - Mastering the Appliqué

Margo demonstrates options for creating a full-size master template which can be used for dark fabrics as well as prints.

There are great tips for preparing the fabric and template shapes and cirlces for needle turn appliqué. Margo uses Ricky Tims Stable Stuff Poly and glue to prepare the finished appliqué pieces and Karen Kay Buckley circles or a Circle template for the circles on the block. The raw edges are folded over and glued to the Ricky Tims Stable Stuff template. Attaching the applique pieces to the foundation fabric is done with zig zag stitching and she shares tricks for the inside "V" and tight circles. To complete the block, the corners are trimmed and the four pieced arcs are added and the block is squared up. This video is loaded with great appliqué and piecing tips which can be used for many projects.
