All these pages and pages of chatter and I missed most of them because I never got a notification!
Terry, watch out for the late night magnetic pull towards the 'return' button on your computer! Many's the slip....ask me how I know. I really want to do this challenge but I am away from home and don't have very much fabric with me. But I will try and come up with something. Really enjoying the banter folks.

I am working and playing in Dingle, Co. Kerry. I have a couple of concerts in Sept and Oct which I have to learn and relearn ( ) some material for, and this is a great place for peace and quiet. We have also been trying out the idea of renting out our guesthouse here by being the overflow for our neighbour's 4-star B&B. I have had the notion for a while of creating a quilting retreat here so this is a good way of testing whether I can cope with that or not. So far so good.
I also have a gig this Friday in Dingle. Come on over!

I don't know Terrie, that new photo of yours..... you look like you could be trouble. BTW what does VRBO stand for?Originally posted by crocus999Rita, I'll keep your idea in mind, as my DH is retiring after this school year, and we are hoping for a trip to the UK. Looking at VRBO . Wouldn't it be nice to be your first guests? We'll be good, I promise.

VRBO stands for something like Vacation Rental By Owner. It's a web site where you can find vacation rentals that are privately owned:

Rita, I would LOVE to hear you sing in person, and somewhere in Ireland. Big Brother has tracked an ancestor to somewhere in Ireland, maybe one year he'll join me in a venture to find the homeland.
I wasn't sure I'd get a piece done, but "Yesterday, I tried a new technique, tipped off by TQS" I don't know if it will be show-worthy, but I'm trying. I will have the nerve to post it here.

When we drove around Ireland in the fall of 2012, my husband and I got to meet Rita and her husband for lunch. Such fun.
The next place we found that sold CDs (not the bank type!) we bought two of Rita's albums and enjoyed them all through our drive. It was so special, her voice is amazing. Now we listen to them at home and it reminds us of a wonderful trip and time with a quilting buddy and her sweetie.
It really is a small world!
Thanks Rita.
