So surprised to see Month 3 up so early. It will be nice for all the people stuck in the snow at home on the east coast.
I started my replacements for the circles about a week ago, so I am posting what I got done. HelenW

Barbara, I really enjoyed your live and blog on Month 3. Would you post the picture of the solids with the square and
square border here too? It is fabulous and I hope most TQS BOM quilters look at you blog, but I am probably not
the only one that loves seeing your progress along with ours right here in the forum. You are such an inspiration. HelenW

HelenW asked me to share my progress here too. You can always see my work on my blog:

          https://bbquiltmaker.blogspot.com/20...n-month-3.html

The Solid version is through month 3. The Print version with my fabrics is through month 7. Eventually I will have the Print Kit version to add to the collection.

Never too early to start thinking about next month. I really like Barbara's square in a square and might go that way.
In the mean time I thought I would play around with EQ8. This ribbon border was used as sashing in one of Lynn
Wilder's quilts called A Ribbon Runs Thru It. Bought the pattern but have not yet made the quilt, but I plan to.

                hooray
i hand stitched the center square. That was easier for me than trying to wiggle it around in the sewing machine.

Brilliant way to do it. I certainly struggled with the small throat area on my old machine. HelenW

I’m not happy with the center circle seam allowance showing on the white fabric. Do you think quilting will mitigate it? I think I will change my corner circle colors so I don’t have the same problem.

As HelenW suggested--add a "lining" behind the white to minimize shadowing through. And, yes, quilting on the white will lessen how noticeable the shadowing through is.

I like the suggestion also. I plan to put a white layer behind the center white circle also to minimize the seam allowance showing through to the front. Thanks for commenting on that issue.

My center medallion is done. It was quite challenging but thanks to Barbara and Becky for the great videos and directions, I was able to do it. Very happy and I learned so much!

I decided to try machine appliquéing my circles. I'm happy with it! Now for the 4 corners - I think I may do them before I join everything.
