Would any picture of a child fishing with a Grandpa work? I bet you could find a way to improvise!

I don't know Lois, I was looking at some and not able to find what I want. Maybe if I try to do silhouettes? I want to get the idea across that I was playing with him and he was not aware so I am not sure that would work either. At the time, I was a young adult--like 24.

Ritzy you could use the images of your Grandpa and yourself from other settings and rescale to make it fishing. Maybe.

I'm making my challenge quilt now, just as well as time's ticking on. I'm doing something I've wanted to for a while but wish it was four times bigger  Perhaps do a bigger quilt afterwards.

The date for this challenge is Sept. 1st. How is that going to be handled? Are we just going to post pictures of our challenge piece? Remember, I am new to this.

I've decided to just stay on the sidelines and cheer you gals on for this CW challenge. I MUST MUST finish my mug rugs. I worked on them a bit this weekend and when they are finished, then I will permit myself to play with you. If you ever thought you might receive a mug rug from me, thank you so much for your patience, I know it's been a long time ops: ops: ops: - but they'll be coming soon! So hard to think what to do.

Yes we'll just put them up from 1st Sept on this thread. Then if I can I'll reference them on the first post of this thread to say what page they are on. Do you think that will work Ritzy?

Another time then Terrie . I still owe 2mug rugs ops:

I have decided, like Terrie, to stay on the side lines at the moment but am looking forward to seeing all the small quilts I have so much to catch up on after the CW challenge and the Loch Lomond show plus mug rugs as well ops: ops:

I am also trying to organise my sewing room instead of just moving things from one place to another and then having to move them again

The dear boy is so excited--on Wednesday he will be free to go back to work and I won't have to nag him. We will see what his stamina is like once he is back to his normal activities. Thanks for asking.

That went quick Ritzy but not for you I guess

No, it was sometimes a trial. But I am ever so grateful he is well and I guess that is all that matters.

Maureen, Let us know if you have any good idea's for your sewing room....I am always looking at "sewing rooms" on the net to get some ideas as to how I can improve mine.
Maybe you could post some pictures???

Mine is nearly complete. Wendy how did you finish the mug rug you gave me. It looks like you took a strip of your hand dye and zigzagged it to the edge all the way around?

Thanks! I've been really productive since finishing my Vases and Flowers quilt. I've finished quilting the TQS BOM Crazy Stars. It just needs the binding. I have almost finished quilting TQS BOM Hugs and Kisses. Trying to figure out how I want to quilt the swags in the border. This weekend (I had Friday off too) I completed two baby quilt tops for folks I work with. And yesterday nearly finished the Yesterday CW quilt.

Heading out to catch the train to Bowness-on-Solway. Tomorrow we start our Hadrian's Wall trek!! I'm excited. Hopefully there will be something quilty along the way.

                                Mine's done as well.

On your mug rug I zig zagged the edge then zig zagged a bit of bias cotton on. Simples

I'm in awe of how much you've been doing. Enjoy your trip

                                Oh and pictures please x
