That is great Lottie, sorry but I live in the lowlands, near the gate to the Highlands

Love your hair. At my groups Indigo Exhibition in June we all said we were going to dye the front of our hair Indigo blue - don't know if we will do that but I certainly love the pink.

oh well - lowlands are very pretty as well - and much easier to get to
hair is a wig - so only short term - but once i start going my natural silver-grey (?when i turn 50? - although according to my hairdresser i should wait another five or ten years after that), i'm sure i'll be doing wierd and colorful things from time to time...

Susan, Marilyn and BJ you are on my list now. I have managed to get myself up to 7 now so I better leave it at that for now. I hope I can deliver before too long. (BJ, I think Margo is just being a silent observer rather than a participator....so far 8) ) Susan, as you are for the birds I will oblige with a feathered friend for you.

I started going grey when I was 17 and used to dye my hair all different colours. Then in my 40's I decided it was too much bother and expense getting it dyed all the time so I just let it be natural and I really don't mind it. I can only ever remember my mum with white hair. It runs in the female line of my family, my brothers have only a smattering of grey.

Thanks Rita. Do you have a specific theme you want?

I know what Sue wants...she went with me to the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival and I think I have figured out her interests.

Yes, I know Margo is trying to be just an observer, but I thought I'd just see if maybe just maybe she'd take me up on an exchange.

The way I set this up the only tally I have to keep is who "I" have offered to swap with 8) Everyone else has to keep their own tally :P

I see absolutely no reason not to come back for more, if you want to and once you feel clear to do so. I will be - I am still resisting the temtation to sign up more now (I was hoping to get onto Rita's list, but guess I will have to wait and see if she opens up for more later on in the year) Besides which, there might be some others who are a bit slower at coming out of the woodwork and want to sign up too!

Maureen, I'll swap with you. But I can't start production until the end of April when we have our guild quilt show.

Do you have Crocuses in Scotland?

I'll try to get some crocus fabric - that is my absolute favourite flower! Sturdy little guy who pokes his head up first thing in spring when all the other flowers are waiting, nope, not the crocus. He's first up and first out and a harbinger of better things to come. I remember my excitement when I saw my first crocuses - I went wild with excitement! The don't care that there is still snow on the ground, in a way they are like the forerunners, the first fruits, the pioneers..........okay, I'll stop waxing on about the oft forgotten Crocus. I can get very philosophical about them. Pushing up through the hard cold earth, in faith pushing through the dirt and cold and then bringing a cheerful 'hello', no sign of the struggle to 'become'...blah blah blah.....

                      Stop, Terrie

Hello. My name is Terrie, aka Crocus, and I am a swap-a-holic.

Boy did I jump back in late! Wendy and Rita, could I be on your for later list if you decide to open it back up? Maureen, I'd love to swap with you and Marilyn and Nancy, Lois, Rosemary... do let me know if I'm still in time to swap with you. Nancy, I can work around your Chinese Whispers quilt because I'm next on the list after your for Chinese Whispers and that will be my priority for those two months or so. Lorchen, if you are willing to get in the game just for one mug rug while you're busy with baby quilts, I will make you a lighthouse mug rug--no time constraints, even later is fine! Lotti are you still taking swap requests? I'm open to doing more as long as I can pace myself. Whose idea was this? It is fun! :P

i'll do them in the order that i promise them / accept the swaps
my objective: to have enough mug-rugs to be able to serve coffee/tea and cake/cookies to everyone who ever comes to visit me in switzerland on hopefully their own - or at least a fellow TQS'rs mug-rug 8) 8) 8)

You're on! My request for everyone is to give me a little of you. I have enough of me already! I heard a whisper that I might be getting the whisper soon, so I'll work on rugs after that is done (and I'm not stressed out about what I will whisper).
