Thanks! I will, when I get it quilted I'll get a nice close shot of some of the names. Good thing they taught Palmer Cursive when I was in third grace, so it will be legible! When I was practicing last night, I was having so much fun!Originally posted by MargoWOW! Kathy you are going to have to take some good close photos for us! That sounds amazing!!
And, thanks to your pinwheel and pressing tutorials, my quilt lays flat. I twirled almost every intersection except the border squares.

Charae, I really like your medallion. Those bright colors are a little hard to put together (voice of experience hereOriginally posted by clhdabbHere is my Friendship Triangle Exchange "sew far". Opted for Edyta's Medallion Quilt. Now I'm stalled on borders, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the assembly process. It has been so fun to see other quilters' fabric selections. Please excuse the blurry photo!
). Yours looks really good. I tried many border fabrics with mine, and none of my fabrics wanted to play with the HST's. I can't wait to see yours!

Kathy and Charae, I am impressed! You have gotten a lot done and they are both beautiful! I have gotten side tracked from the HSTs and my BOM in order to finish up a UFO. Oops. I mean a WIP! The fair is coming up, and I would like it completed by then.

Hi Dawn, I have a couple of your HST's in my quilt. I've stopped working on the BOM for now also, it just seems like too much right now. I'm on a roll with the HST quilt, though! I've started quilting in the names--- it's so much fun! And I'm thinking about our sisters and brothers who sent in their HST's as I quilt their names.

I finally finished piecing my medallion quilt and posted it in Show & Tell. Since I still have to shop for backing, I haven't started quilting it yet, although I have a good idea of how I want to quilt it. Since it's spread out on my design wall, it looks kind of bowed out on the edges, but that's mostly from trying to smooth it out to take the photo. I can see where it will need to be blocked after it's quilted, more so than most quilts I've made. Fi

Fi, it is wonderful and I love your border colors! I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to use your quilt as an example to show what a difference changing the border can make.Originally posted by fiquiltsI finally finished piecing my medallion quilt and posted it in Show & Tell. Here is your quilt reading as a mainly red quilt:

And by just changing the borders it now reads as a blue quilt! Fun, huh!

Everyones tops are turning so beautiful. Mine is on hold right now while my baby is at the spa for some much needed TLC. She has been working hard and her tight muscles need a nice deep tissue massage. Hope she returns soon all perky and ready to go.

Margo,
Of course I don't mind you using my quilt for the example. I had planned on posting it with my message on the forum but didn't want to take the time at that point to figure it out. I had auditioned three colors for the outer border before I decided on the red, and the blue I used for inner border. One was the blue I ended up using in the inner border, another was a green that I already had. I have numerous reds, but not the shade I really wanted so ended up looking at all three local quilt shops and settled for this one. It has a little of the blue in it too, so it worked well, although it's not what I had in mind when I started. Amazing how these things seem to work out, isn't it?

Fi, I'm not sure that the blue I used in the PS view would be an option for me, but it does show what a difference the border color can make.Originally posted by fiquiltsMargo,

Yeah, I finally finished my Garden Path quilt top. I will get a picture posted after vacation. We are visiting DS and DDIL in Michigan and will be gone 2 weeks. Haven't seen them in one and a half years, so really looking forward to our trip. Not leaving for a week, but with the holiday weekend and packing I will be busy. Wishing you all a fun and happy 4th.

I just wanted to share with you what I have done so far on my Waves of Friendship. It is a long way from being done but it is so fun working on it when I have a chance. I have 204 HST sew together. I like how it is looking. So very colorful. My goal is to get the top all pieced so I can bring it to Houston with me for show and tell. There will be an interborder, then a pinwheel border, then a nice wide border for some pretty quilting. It will be approx. 90 x 98 when finished. I am going to quilt this one all by myself too. I can't wait to get it done so I can load and start quilting away. Wishing everone a wonderful 4th of July and have a great week!!!

Hi Carol, I really like your quilt. Thanks for posting your progress - it helps to motivate us all. At least, I don't feel that I'm so slow, compared to those who have finished or are already quilting their tops! I just had a 'knob' on my sewing machine break, so I've been without the use of it for about five days. Got the knob today ( $30 - looks like it cost about 65 cents to make it!) But, when you need a knob, you need a knob! Keep up the good work. BTW - I have several of you HSTs and I'm going to use them all!Originally posted by CMOELLERSI just wanted to share with you what I have done so far on my Waves of Friendship.
