Originally posted by GuysQuilt2I liked this Mountain Top pattern (from Laundry Basket Quilts) as soon as I saw it and when the HST exchange came up I knew it would the perfect opportunity to get a bunch of these done. I received 504 and had to make another 200 something, but having the bulk of them done gave me the impetus I needed to sew the rest. The X across the blocks is 2" wide, and they will have that same 2" sashing around the outside of the blocks.
Isn't this a stunner!!! Can't wait to see it assembled.

Hello Dorothy,Originally posted by dorfymidPeggy I love your quilt it is beautiful but your idea of scattering the HST's on the edges is fantastic
I might just pinch that idea if I may, my top front is finished but I still have some lovely HST's and I might stitch them all over randomly on the backing  Thank you for the idea.
Of course, you are welcome to the idea.... After all, I got it from someone else!
That's one of the wonders of the web.
Best to you

I really like the quilt patterns in Edyta's Friendship Triangles book. These are the first quilts I have made with hst's, so I am having a bit of fun. This was a wonderful exchange, and I appreciate everyone who participated and sorted!!!

Peggie: love your quilt - looks absolutely fabulous
and like dorothy - think that the idea of scattering the extra HSTs is wonderful and absolutely pinchable
thank you for giving us another great idea
Terri: both beautiful quilts - love the extra special personal details for the tree quilt - fab
Patti: that medallion is going to be great - persevere - you'll get there
so great what everyone is doing - and even the "same" or similar patterns are all so different and all fabulous - way cool 8) 8) 8)Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

Hi Pattisure
I love your quilt! Wow what a lot of work! Do you need some extra HST? I have some left over and would love to send them to you! Also, I also have some left over HST that are fused to Steam a Seam, left over from my border. I would love to send them on to someone who would like them!
Send me a note and let me know
Best to all

Thanks Peggie, this quilt is going to take 920 squares but I made them b4 the exchange squares came.
Guess what happened yesterday after I took that picture. I had thrown that thermal blanket up on the
only wall that was accessible to me in my studio but that wall is next to the bathroom where I
wheel my wheelchair up to the sink cupboard to blow dry my hair. Guess what I got - a design
floor after blowing the HSTs off the blanket!
