    Really like what you've done Jan. Still futzing around on my bid table with a design. Hope to post something soon.

        Jan, What an amazingly creative design! It's inspiring. Now I want to get in another HST exchange so that I can play with the design opportunities again and again. Can't wait to see more pictures as you continue to work on this quilt. Lois Bruno

          I just read Sue Garman's latest blog entry...has any one else read it yet? Well...she shows photo's of old quilts, and all are inspiring. But, it is the last one, the one with the scrappy half square triangles that caught my eye. Humm, I'm thinking, "maybe this is the one". (I was planing on stitching up "Mountain Top", but I love old quilts and I love this one). I might have to make a bunch of 1" hst's, but I can do that. I think I'll be drawing this block out on some graph paper tonight. I'll see how it lays out. I think I found my HST quilt!
          Oh! And I have another question...when members posts pics of their quilts on this topic, do you double click to enlarge it , admire their work, and then check every HST looking for yours? I'm not alone in this... am I?

            LUV IT, JAN!!! Especially the center and the horizontal line of light colored squares! It works really well with the larger scale of the border HSTs.

            If you add a solid color on either side of the pieced border strips you can make the quilt "read" as any dominate color that you choose!

              I thought it was just me that did that! Only trouble is ....I can't remember what I sent. I did 5 sheets and they were all different - I just hope to see something that looks vaguely familiar (I haven't yet!).

                    Ritzy Great title and this is sparkling. I worked on my Edyta's Medallion quilt for 14 hrs over the weekend and only got 1/4 done. I'm admittedly slow but this working with hundreds of 2" squares
                    requires time! Good thing the fabrics are so delicious. I was loving every moment.

                      Ritzy;

                      Sweet!! Love it! I have to get started on mine! We just got our house ready to sell & got our open house over with so I think I should be able to get going as the realtor said if we get one showing a week that would be good! I want to try the medallion quilt out of Edyta’s book even if I didn’t get one of her HST’s.

                      I think I might even have enough HST’s to do two of her quilts;

                      This is the first I have been on the blog in days as my computer died; had to replace the hard drive! Washer broke, big tree has to come out of yard before it falls on the house; hurricane season just started; one of the dogs got so sick had to go to the vets, money, money, money. . .

                      What’s a person to do but go sew & escape it all?

                      We really want to move to NC but those taxes up there look way too high!!! SoTTT , post more photos of any ideas! Love to see them & missed you guys :lol: :lol: :loll:

                      Oh, our guild gave out a scholarship & I got a photo I took published in our local paper! Yippee P.S. Of course the guild made her a quilt also! It was a $2,000.00 scholarship and she is going to the University of South Carolina for the School of the Arts. She is such a wonderful young lady!!

                        GuysQuilt2;

                        Just catching up on blog & saw your set up! Love it & love what you’re doing w/HST’s! Where are you now? Have you got it all put together yet? I am sew behind!

                            Here are a couple of pix of the finished top.
                            I added a little red piping between the top and the border. I had not done this before, so it was a good learning experience.
                            Then fused some of the left over HSTs and blanket stitched them in a random manner - as if tossed - on opposite corners. If you look closely, you'll see Alex Anderson's HST, the red and white one, near the upper corner. What shall I name this quilt??? Any suggestions?

                            What a lot of fun this was! Many thanks to all who made this possible.
