Now I have had time to see some of the Karen Eckmeier show again. We're not that much off track because she uses tulle on her villages. Remember she change the mood by using different colors of tulle. But maybe Rita has found the correct show.Originally posted by RenataDon't mention it, Norma. It just means I did not read Laura's posting as carefully as I should have...Originally posted by ZarahI'm looking forward to know which show answers the question.
Sorry, Renata, to get you on the wrong track

Wow, looks like I'll have some show watching to figure out which one it was! LOL. I seem to remember it was something to do with a tree I think. But thanks, and off I go to watch some awesome quilting shows. Thanks ladies. I'll let you know when I find it

Checked all the ones you kind ladies have mentioned and none of them are the one that I was thinking about, so I also went through each show I have, and it's not there, so it must have been somewhere else. It was a technique where the artist took a number of different scraps, cut through them with the rotary cutter into little bits then they were placed onto the fabric piece and sewn down in one application, but I can't remember if she used tuille or something on top to hold them all down, because once it was done, it was a 3d effect. Ricky's technique was similar but not the one I was looking for. Thanks for trying!

I did not rewatch the shows that Lotti listed, but the term "snippets" comes to mind. There was a lady teaching a Snippets class in Houston one year, and I think she was on a TQS episode. I believe the reason she used tweezers to place the snippets onto the fabric, was that it had a bonding agent on one side, like Light Steam-A-Seam 2 and so could just be ironed on, once the design was to your liking. I hope you eventually find the technique you are looking for! Good luck!

I think that she has been mentioned in a couple of Daily Blogs, but not as a guest for a whole episode. Does anyone else have a memory of an episode with Noriko?Originally posted by twigletHere's a video of Noriko Endo's technique

I recall something with Norino Endo - Confetti quilting. It was around the time of her exhibition in New York but maybe it was just in the daily blog. I found this on youtube though. There is a Confetti 1, Confetti 2 and Confetti 3 - and it's our very own Alex on Simply Quilts.
