Thanks Rita! That's the video that I remember and now I see why I can't find it in the TQS archives! ops:

Cindy Walters is the name of the original "snippets" lady. Try her site. She's doing different things now. I'm
thinking she did that on a Simply Quilts ages ago !

She did Marilyn!!! http://www.hgtv.com/simply-quilts/sn...ons/index.html Unfortunately the video is no longer available - the link takes you to a page with the description of the show only. On her website she only has the books.

It's my guess that we have found it now. Here is a snippet more. I don't understand a word but the video shows tulle

Search on Youtube for confetti1, confetti2, and confetti3 for Noriko Endo's Simply Quilts show, broken up into 3 parts.

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phC8QkYu4ig

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB_nBv0GLiE

I just saw the first one under Marilyn's link, then the third showed up, so there must have been a 2, right?

She shreds her fabric with a rotary cutter first and makes a palette. Doesn't look easy to me.

Tank you, Rita, for showing me that some of the simply quilts episodes are available on you tube, never thought to check, and had never seen one before!
A lot of catching up to do!

I'm actually very happy you repeated and provided the links for all three pets, no matter what search I did, it did not want to find Nr 3 for me... With your link, all I had to do was 'click'

Thank Rita, I was feeling much better today, but driving 2 1/2 hours to Montreux, walking around a drafty old castle for four hours at chillon, and then another two hours of drafty castle with lots of stairs on the way home at gruyeres, plus the drive home again with quite a bit more traffic didn't do me much good...
Had a nice hot bath to unwind those muscles, now in bed with a painkiller and arnica, plus all the other stuff, so should be alright tomorrow. Some people never learn! But we had a really good day out, and my Indian colleague saw lots of new things and has pictures to show and stories to tell his kids when he gets back to Pondicherry. Worth everything!

So just how big is a scrap worth saving? This BOM has lots of scraps, tiny scraps. Anybody want them?

My DD just sent me this cartoon. She knows me well.

Lotti I am sorry to hear that but hopefully you will be okay tomorrow. A handful of epsom salts in the bath is good too - but too late tonight.

The article I read some time ago ( not sure which magazine) used a lite tulle over the top which ws then sewn down. I personally cut up the bits, laid them on my batting (which holds them well if its cotton) and sewed them lightly down free motion and then did my thread art on top. you get a little more texture that way and I liked how it came out. of course, it was supposed to be a little furry...it was of my shih tzu.
