Hi, I am starting the granddaughter’s version and in month one why is there a whole 4 patch strip set leftover? We are only cutting eight of each right to make 4 blue and 4 pink? Thanks

The pattern says the extra strips are just in case you need it. Those using their own fabric may have width of fabric less than 45”

In my Blog for Month 1 I addressed this and recommended you don’t cut the extra strip unless you need it. Tips like this is the reason I write a monthly blog.

No time to make the BOM right now, but did have a question....When Lynn sprays her fabric with a stiffener, do she rough cut pieces and then spray the smaller sizes, or does she spray the entire yardage of fabric, let it dry and then iron it?

I believe she cuts a hunk, slightly larger than what is needed for background on the appliqué blocks, or what is needed for piecing. She says after it dries she cuts the pieces the required size and they will not shrink again.
