I completed my center last night and I wanted to share. I used another round quilt I did as the background.

I have been trying to post on the new forum but it does not like my cell phones or iPads. I am on my computer now and at least I got to the forum to write this. I tried to post my road pictures twice but they are not up loading.

Third attempt was the best. This is my roads completed block! I hope I remember what I did to post it next month.

My laptop is Windows 10 and it works, but on my ipad, nothing works, can't even click like on it! Although sometimes when I click like on the laptop, I get a weird message about votes.

I wish I could say the same! Inner road done and attached. Outer road construction crew (me) will be working overtime this weekend to get road finished and to get ready for the tall buildings coming soon. I love how Color My World is coming together and want to thank everyone who has posted pics, tips, questions, blogs and videos. If you are traveling this Memorial Day weekend, be safe. Happy sewing and quilting if you are not!

My background is the night sky. Trees are hard to see at night (for real and on this background) so I substituted lamp posts instead. Clover's fusible bias tape in silver worked perfectly for the posts, secured by a 6.0mm wide zig zag at 4.0mm stitch length with poly sheen thread in a matching shade I happened to have. For the lights, I cut circles in half and tucked them under the bias tape and just used a straight stitch. I am new to appliqué so this is a good learning exercise. I am using what I have in my stash.
