I have 36 houses instead of 32! I actually trimmed the houses using the template before rather than after each double house section was completed. Therefore the house circle didn't fit , it was 8 inches too small. So I made another four houses which really worked exactly . 32x 1/4 inch from each house that had been trimmed equals 8 inches. I bit of a fiddle but I can live that.

I changed a few things. Multi colored trees, did some embroidery on some of the house blocks. I went with cobblestone and brick streets. I got to take in all the suggestions posted to do went putting mine together slightly delayed due to move from winter home to summer home and small vacation between. Love this quilt, the process and this group as we continue our journey.
I am also doing the A-Z quilt for my future 1st grandson. Will be working on the appliqué letters as most blocks are pieced. I have the appliqué blocks to do. Anyone else working on this quilt. Not much activity on that string.
Happy Quilting!!!Linda H

Thank you Barbara for all your great tips and videos. Paying attention to the center guideline for the white strips on the road pieces made all the difference! Here is my village so far - so looking forward to adding the city's buildings! Grateful that it too lies flat - kind of a wonder, right? Thank you Wendy Williams!

Here’s my center. You’ll see a few things are different. I made the Mariners Compass using the AccuQuilt die because I could! It was 12”, so a coping circle was necessary. I’m using fabrics mostly from my stash. The music themed background came from a yard sale, I think. Also I made a booboo on the circle of houses. I had all the random mess of small pieces of fabric left out in my work area and thought, why not go ahead and make what I thought was the next month’s houses - counted them but didn’t notice they were going to be different. So all my houses are 1’s and 2’s!! Also I used “knobby” yarn for the tree trunks!Last edited by Wilma M.; 05-23-2021, 12:50 PM.

I'm excited that my center went together fairly easy, but I wish I had stayed stitched the inner circle of the small houses right after they were put together as some of the seams wanted to come apart. I did stay stitch them, fixing the spreading seams before I attached the inner roads. Thanks for all the tips you've given Barbara!
