Annis-- Regarding the hearing problems: My daughter had her almost two-year-old checked due to the same concerns. The conclusion was that he'd somehow not learned the sounds,
possibly due to ear infection -- not that we were aware of any infection. (My dx was that he has a very verbal older sister and he couldn't get a word in edgewise! :wink:
Anyway, about six months of speech therapy and he's become a chatterbox. Hope your outcome is as positive.

Thanks Judy. She has had several ear infections this past winter and she does have an older brother who was very jealous of her for the longest time. I'm expecting positive results from the speech therapy.

Our family would appreciate prayers for FIL - 84 years old, and been in and out of ICU for 2 weeks. This a.m. doc said kidneys were failing, fluid on lungs, etc. and body basically failing. He is struggling and fighting -- pray for peace for him. Doc is giving 24-48 hours --
I also wanted you all to know DS in Air Force is doing MUCH better.

Bob--kidney cancer that has spread; very aggressive cancer(friend from my church).
Jerry--also kidney cancer that has spread(brother-in-law).
Terry--Local sheriff(and friend of my daughter's) with colon cancer that is too large for surgery.

I hate the destructiveness of this disease!
