I haven't been on much, because I have been so busy working & finishing up my quilts for the local show. I'm pleased with how they turned out. The 1st one is a kit from Craftsy that will be a wedding present for my nephew.
The 2nd one is for my son who works for Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus as the Assistant Train Master, what a great ride he has had, & how sad it will be ending soon. This one I happened to find the fabric on clearance, & I thought what a perfect quilt for Jack, so this one is my own simple designe
My last quilt was part of a guild challenge of what it was like living on the mexican boarder. I chose the bueatiful mexican art. My quilt is covered is 'diamonds', bead & bueatiful couched threads. It won 2nd prize in the challenge

Also in view are some threads I have been playing with for a row, my leaders & enders 2.5" scrap box, a pile of 'pages' for the stitch out book, and a very full thread ends bin bag.
Rosemary fun to see your machine stitches!! Something I need to do too sometime.

Ladywingnut, your quilts are beautiful. Definitely eye candy!
Rosemary, your new baby is very nice. Looks like you are having a lot of fun with her. I love the stitches. Your book of stitches will be great. I always had intentions of doing that, but just never got it done. Congratulations to you!

I miss all you guys!
Ladywingnut your quilts are wonderful! Congratulations on your win! Well deserved.
I have been working hard getting my 29 quilts ready for our guild show at the end of March. I am the Member Featured Artist so I have been making up the cards that hang with the quilts with descriptions, writing my artist statement, writing the info for the show booklet and of course finishing up my 2 new quilts "Color and Passion 1 & 2". They are done but have not been photographed yet. They turned out 69" x 78". They are fraternal twin sisters as one is 1/4" smaller width wise. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. I can't wait to see them hanging together!
Rosemary, I'm glad you are having a good time with your new machine. A new toy is always such fun.
Our snowmeggedon has finally ended and the snow has melted. We broke the 1956 record and made a new record. Ugh. Glad that's over! Today it is raining.
I've also been arranging to move my mother to assisted living. Such a lot of work and planning and changing. Plus it's hard for her. She moves tomorrow and Thursday. Wish me luck in having it all run smoothly. These past few weeks have felt like I have been balancing a table service for 12 on a broomstick in the air! :S
I can't wait for something to settle down. 2017 has been a struggle in several ways. But we are fine and all is good. I just need some down time!
Hugs to you all!!! genevaGeneva

Wonderful quilts Ladywingnut and congratulations on the win. :cheer:
Geneva good luck with your mum, sure to be a stressful time. I'm sure afterwards things will be better for both of you but it takes time for such a big life event. I hope it all goes smoothly.
And good luck with the exhibition, looking forward to seeing it on here once you've got it all hung, so exciting and an honour for you.
Nice machine Rosemary. Have fun
Together with a friend I'm starting a quilting group locally, any tips anyone :woohoo:

Ladywingnut, your quilts are beautiful! So much work you have put into them!
Geneva, congratulations! That's where I'm at too! Getting my quilts ready for my Featured Quilter display at our show. But, since I work a lot small than you do, and already have a few good quilts, I am not working as hard as you are. Thanks for the reminder though, that I need to write out those pesky "story" cards for each one. I'm glad our show isn't for a few months yet! Also, unlike you, we are STILL getting snow! Two more inches last night! I'll be praying for you and your mother! Having been there twice, I know exactly what you are going through!
Rosemary, what a cutie! And what dedication, to make a quilt stitch bible. I always tell myself I will do that, but never have.
Dawn
