HI everyone. Dawn, how wonderful about your quilt getting into MAQF and your being the featured quilter! So are you going to MAQF? I am planning on going since I too, have a quilt in the show.
Rosemary, so happy for you with your new machine. It looks wonderful.
G Street Fabrics in Rockville, MD is going to hold an exhibit of my quilts in late April or early May. I am working on several slightly less difficult quilts to add to those I already have for this exhibit. These will be for sale. I'm not planning at this time to put them in a show. So I'm not making a Hoffman Challenge this year either.
Hope everyone is doing well. I have been away a while trying to get the quilt my son Ken designed finished, which I did. It's the one in MAQF. I'll put out pictures after the show.
Cheers, everyone.

Thank you, everyone, for the kind words! I was thrilled yesterday to actually finish a UFO top! It is a pieced spinning star of sorts, and an original block. I will share a picture much later, once I have it quilted. I'm going to try out my new ruler foot and ruler. I found a clear ruler foot that should be easier for me than the metal ones. I bought it through Pasty Thompson, it came from Accents in Design, and is called the "Fine Line" Clarity Roler foot.
Joyce, we have around 125 members, give or take, depending on the year. There are only about 40 or 50 who I would consider quite active. People who will always help with the show, make charity quilts, longarm charity quilts, volunteer for committees, help with Kid's Camp, and attend retreats and classes. But, these few people supply the show with around 135 to 150 excellent quilts each year!
Dorothy, that would be great if you were able to come up for our show this year! Susan, from All in Stitches (Polson), has had a booth in our show the last couple of years, too.
Rosemary, what a cute little machine! Looks perfect for home AND taking to classes and retreats! Do you have a name for her yet?
Well, it's off to my "studio."

BJ, you posted while I was writing my post. Congratulations to you, too! And, how wonderful to have your own show! That is really special. People will certainly enjoy the diversity of your quilts. You are going to have so much fun! No, I am not attending MAQF.
It is a LONG way from western Montana! And, I don't travel well anymore!

Congratulations, Dawn, on your quilt's acceptance into MAQF and you featured artist show! You work is so detailed and beautiful, I'm sure we'll be seeing more and more of your work in shows around the country. When it gets to Houston, I'll be sure to take many pictures for you if you can't make it to the show!!
Congratulations to you, too, BJ! I can't wait to see pictures of your new masterpiece and hope that your show goes well!
