Marianne,
You must check out Spoonflower.com
You can print your designs onto several different types of cloth. And if you get 'the Spoonflower Workbook' it'll walk you through things like repeating designs, and uploading your image so you can print it to the size you want, etc. I've only done simple things so far, but I really enjoy it. If you are drawing your own designs it would be so unique to do this. Everything must be copyright free or yours, that's used in your uploads. That way no one can legally reproduce someone else's work. But, their are artists on the site that have their designs for sale. Not inexpensive, but worth the unique factor for special things, I think.
When I worked at the quilt shop in Wisconsin I found that most panels are printed 24" per cut. That way quilt shops can cut and prepackage the entire bolt. The one I showed that has The Lord's Prayer on it, is 36 " by width of fabric. That's unusual. Sometimes there will be companion fabrics showcased by the panels and it's a good idea to get a few fat quarters to mix with your own stash pieces to bring it all together.
Have fun!
PS and I hope that auto correct hasn't changed anything! LOL

Perfect little quilt Terrie! I'm sure it will be loved. I'm glad Alfie is doing so well.
My great grandfather was Alfred. He was an amazing man. Left Switzerland at 19 or so, came to the United States via Galveston Texas and made a new life. Now that I think about it, he made beautiful tables of inlaid wood. They were a quilt made of wood. I'm sure your Alfie will be as loving and wonderful. Congratulations!

Terrie, super baby quilt and so happy to hear that baby Alfie is celebrating Christmas in style
Luann - I have been searching for a "Spoonflower" alternative here in UK and think I have found one so something to check out in the new year. Watch this space as they say. Thanks for sending me down this route and make me seriously do something about it.
As we being Scandinavian celebrate Christmas tonight (24th) I will take this opportunity to wish everybody here on the forum and ones behind the scenes a very Merry Christmas if you celebrate this holiday and if not a Happy end to 2015 hopefully busy at your machines. Thinking of everybody who has troubles to cope with and I hope 2016 will be the year that will bring good health and happiness.

Great news about Alfie! Babies only know to keep growing, don't know if the odds are against them. He'll do great.
I didn't think I made many quilty items this year, but when I turned in 4 small (very small) charity quilts at this month's guild meeting, I felt better.
Merry Christmas to you all!Carol in SW Michigan
