Norma, so sorry to hear about your mother's health problems. I hope she is settled and happy in her new home. I also hope you can get some good rest. Prayers for you both!

Thank you all for your good wishes and all the hugs. I'm so grateful to know all of you.

My mother is in her new home now and I'm not too worried about her. My father is a bit of a problem but I think things calm down in a while. I'll go there again on Saturday to do a few things that are missing and after that I hope to be able to more or less let life happen as it is supposed to.

Thanks again, all you wonderful friends

About the organza 'quilt' it wasn't ribbons stitched on to it, they were run and fell seams - the same as you will find on the inside seam of your jeans, and no, I didn't see a stitch of 'quilting' on the piece either, so I wondered how it qualified :? As a textile wallhanging, it was an interesting piece, but I didn't think it could possibly be classified as a quilt.

                        Norma! Big hugs!!

Straight after FoQ I went on holiday to the Czech Republic and Germany. Some of you have seen pictures on facebook. The trip was very emotional and all good for all sorts of very personal reasons. I'm now back home, but you'll not hear a lot from me over the next couple of months because they will be rather busy. More details in a few days.

I also took pictures at FoQ, but have not been able yet to even download them from my camera. I'll share when I get around to it.

My favourite quilts from the miniature section. I was surprised that none of these won the category. But then I hardly ever agree with the judges.

That's my finger you see - added to show size and scale.
