We're back. She's out of hospital, very swollen and grumpy. The surgeon said she had a very large cyst on the appendix and was surprised she lasted this long with it. Considering we were in Spain a couple of weeks ago and then she was on top of Scarfell Pike the week after, I'm glad she hung on!!
The visiting hours were very restrictive so OH and I had to find something to do yesterday morning. Good job there was Quilters Haven just outside Ipswich in Wickham Market. What a fabulous shop!! OH parked right out side, for an hour, and I pootled around and bought lots of bits. I'd certainly recommend visiting if you are in the area. Link http://www.quilters-haven.co.uk/ and I'll add it to the other page too. The ladies there had been up to FoQ on Thursday and said it was wonderful. Oh well. Thanks for the dates for next year Ali!!Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio

I got a Little Gem too! Beautiful traditional piece, mainly made from silks.
I had a great time in Birmingham. Just not enough time to do all the things I wanted to do. And now I can hardly keep my eyes open, so sleep will be a priority.

Help!
Have lost my standard open stitch plate and my 6" x 1" add a quarter ruler!!!! Was using the ruler when making bed runner and can't remember when I changed the stitch plate to the straight stitch one. Put them down, and now cant find them! Have searched sewing room and its not that big to miss things! taken stuff out of drawers! Trou ble is, sort of remember putting them in a safe place, but must be so safe that I cannot find them!

I attending a guild workshop yesterday, was setting up my machine, and couldn't find my foot control....I knew I had put it in the bag, but couldn't find it. Tore home, it wasn't there, but took one from another machine. Got back to the workshop, there it was on my table. I had unloaded it and didn't realize it! DUH!

It's been a bit quiet in here recently, so I'm just wondering whether anyone has any quilt-related plans for this weekend?
My Mum is coming over on Saturday and with her help hopefully we'll get two quilts layered up and ready to be quilted. 505 basting spray is a wonderful invention. If all that goes according to plan I will spend some time creating a little quilt in response to a challenge a certain other member (!) has set me.
Of course, my husband is planning to put up a ceiling (yes, you didn't misread that) in our utility room, so in between all this fibre fun I'm going to have to act as plasterboard prop! Wish me luck girls.
