and I love the one you made for her  did you change thread to get the color shifting on the edge or is there a thread where the shifting has such long intervals?
Norma--the binding on that quilt is actually a ribbon yarn that I folded over and stitched in place. I glad you like it. It made a really nice finish.

Wow Nancy--that little quilt is wonderful! Love the bling.
Toni and Robyn--four days is all it took for your lovely mug rugs to make it to Indiana.
Toni sent me a wonderful piece of fabric to go along with this softly colored muggie(DH even recognized the log cabin behind the hexies):

And Robyn sent me some Australian Afternoon tea and a wonderful postcard sporting a pair of Kookaburra. This lovely mug rug is not too bright for me Robyn:

I'm glad you like it! This was my first time playing with cotton sateen. It quilts up pretty nicely! I marked it using stencils and a blue wash-out marker. The stencils are from a set by Patsy Thompson. There are 3 different 8" feathered wreaths and 8 or so different centers. The swirls in the feathers were done free-hand (which you can tell if you look at them). And once I got out the crystals, I just went crazy!
