Great video Rita, just the way I remember my mum singing and doing the actions. I did it with my children as well and they thought it was magic that the birds disappeared and then came back

Marilyn, happy birthday for tomorrow. I hope you have a great day and don’t get as inebriated as Wendy did at Limbania’s

Norma I think that's a wonderful thing to do with your old machine. And to make a video to show how to use it is so great too. Good luck with it.

Fabulous Video, Rita! Great that you managed to meet up. Read in Facebook that they visited Glendalough and various other places in the Wicklow mountains the other day and hoped they managed to also visit with you. Am so jealous of course, of them and of you!

Happy happy birthday Marilyn! All my very best wishes!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Marilyn. Wish you many more to come.

Thanks all for your comments on my sewing machine going to Gambia. I remember the feeling from when I was 6 years old. I so much wanted a sewing machine and finally I was allowed to use the threadle machine, which made me totally happy. I hope to give the African women that same feeling of happiness and possibilities. It's a great machine that I have dearly loved.
Now, looking forward to the finished product (video).

I love to watch how other people do things and we are so fortunate to be able to share on the internet. Another great thing to appreciate.
                Have a wonderful day, all.

                    This thread has a subject???............. 8) :P 8)

Just in case there really is a subject...... I will try and get my head around the intricacies of mug carpets in a couple of weeks. I seem to have a lot more ideas than time.

That seems to be a familiar problem, lorchen... But I'm confident that everyone will receive their 'carpet' eventually!

I made these mug rugs for my parents for their birthdays and gave them to them today. I drew and coloured the birds using Pitt pens and then stitched around all the details - except the eyes! I used Ricky's fast finish method instead of a binding. He demo's it in the episode with Sally Ducto.

Beautiful, Rita! Did you have to use any textile medium with the pens?
