This mug Rug came from Jane in AZ yesterday. Yesterday happened to be a 'blue' day and I said to my hubby on the way home in the car: "It sure would be nice to get a mug rug in the mail today!" VOILA! Thank you Jane, It would be nice to have tea with you. I love it, My colours! (although the picture doesn't do it justice. )And, I love tea! Thanks so much! Love it - couldn't have come on a better day! You turned my to

Another prefect mug rug Jane - and perfect timing too. Enjoy Terrie.

I so agree with Terri, there is nothing like a mug rug to cheer a soul. Today, I didn't check the mail until after sundown, as the heat index was 102 F. It contained this fabulous piece by Ritzy. I do wish the picture did the color justice. Thank you Ritzy!

ops: ops: ops: I can't remember if I posted my mug rug from Lorchen or not and I can't find it, trying to go through 122 pages of mug rug forum is just too tedious so here it is again...a beautiful cross-stitch on bamboo fabric, (green, a favorite color of mine )
Lorchen's cross-stitch is just so perfect, thank you Lorchen!

Sue, Love that muggie you received from ritzy.
I started a whole quilt (throw sized) last summer... Everyone keeps telling me that it's finished, but I wanted to add some more pearls and maybe a little Swarovski bling. Having gotten sidetracked with the charity quilts I havn't done anything to it in months...

Is that tatting I see, Ritzy? Did you make that yourself? I've tatted in the past and it really takes a lot of time, at least for me! That turned out beautiful!!

I was just wondering the same thing Nancy. I have never succeeded in doing tatting properly back in my jack of all crafts days. Very nice work Ritzy. In fact all the mug rugs are lovely.

It is tatting! I love what you did with that Ritzy, would have never thought of it on my own--thank you for a great idea! My mother taught me how to tat when I was young (tried it a little while back and I still remember how to do it ). It is a very pretty mug rug and so are the past several pages which I have not had a chance to read through but looked at all the photos! These mug rugs are all so fantastic!

Speaking of fantastic... late last week I received two mug rugs too and I apologize to Nancy and Robyn for not posting them earlier. They are so beautiful, and confession... Nancy, I used your mug rug today in a slightly unconventional mode... I had a bowl of rice noodles and vegetables for lunch on your mug rug and it made me smile a whole lot! This mug rug is made with a unique binding I had never seen before, lots of beautiful threads and perfectly executed faux trapunto. I love what Nancy did with the colours--the turquoise and green speak volumes about my remembrances of Sardegna and that always puts a smile on my face!

Since I worked my WotRoTT quilt in a modern style, I've really gotten "hooked" by this genre and so what a wonderful surprise to receive Robyn's quilt all the way from Australia: a beautiful, modern mug rug in shades I would have chosen (but Robyn has a much better selection of fabrics and great taste in combining them). The twist on this modern rug is the hexies that are hand-stitched on so artfully--I LOVE everything about it! When my husband gets back we will be enjoying Australian Afternoon Tea together thanks to Robyn!

Finally, my husband loves to grow tomatoes and herbs on our small deck every year. I almost feel guilty plucking them before he returns, but I think those two yellow tomatoes are going to become part of my dinner tonight, what do you think?

Enjoy those lovely tomatoes, Renata! We won't tell!
