          Dear Patient Lounge Lizards
Since I'm supposed to be promoting the Quilt Alliance, I'm guessing it's ok to post a picture here before the auction. The quilt is DONE!!! I just have to redo the label tomorrow and sew on the sleeve. Viewing digital photography of work is a great way to see mistakes, especially for those of us with bad eye-sight. The pops on the label and off-centered have to be fixed. THEN I can make some mug rugs.

The label really isn't 20 times bigger than the quilt. :?

          Yeah!

Love the cherry pie and the black birds--those real tail feathers? Beautiful and creative--should bring excellent $'s to the Quilt Alliance fund.

                  Hmmm...

"The pops on the label and off-centered have to be fixed." You have to explain that in greater detail. I can't see the mistakes! Me thinks you have been working at this way too long! Give yourself a break. Or is it that I am just not a good enough quilter to see the obvious (???) mistakes? Help!

                    Sue, I don't see "pops" or "off-centered"!

Oh, and the quilt is wonderful! Love the feathers and the birds fighting over the pie.

If you double click the label, you'll see tiny white dots of thread from the bobbin in the red script. No amount of Pitt pens ink fixed it. I just re-digitized for a curvy border, centered, so will fill bobbins with red thread. This time, I won't cut the threads off the corners and have to re-sew. I used the label technique from the Bernina video. There is a bit of time left, so think I really need to use it to rise to the level of my incompetence    After all, there are a few prizes to be had    Right now, it's like the night before the lottery drawing..."Well, SomeonE has to win!"

There is an Artist's Statement to write and then it's off to UPS. I have learned a whole lot on this journey and thank Betty Jo for being my sounding board.

I still want to know how Sue Nichols gets absolutely no fuzzies on her raw-edged applique. I do pretty good with batiks, but wovens are tough.

I've got blabber-fingers tonight. Talk to ya'll tomorrow.

Fake feathers, Jane. I had fuzz everywhere, but they stitched in nicely and withstood a lot of abuse so I think they'll hold up. Glad you like it!

Susan, I LOVE everything about your quilt! The theme is clever, the colors are bright and fun, it's your original design, but best of all IT'S FULL OF BIRDS! The sound you hear is me applauding!
