Oh Rosemary, I thought you were working on a Cerne Abbas Giant!

Too late tonight for pictures, but I was in for two surprises when I got home from school today, from two totally different directions: Denmark and the US. Details tomorrow.

Norma and Ritzy..... you both rock!!!!

What a beautiful white horse, Rita! Rosemary, you are so creative and so good at this, and the lizard is precious!!! The colours of your mug rug are amazing!

Ritzy, one tomato conveniently fell off the vine this evening (seriously, I barely touched it and it plopped right in my hand)!

Boy--when you're gone for a while there are a lot of great mug rugs to see. They are all fabulous! AND, the hits just keep coming! After a long, hot, muggy week of working in Baltimore I arrived back in San Jose this morning to find an absolutely gorgeous mailing from... DENMARK!!! Norma!! I can't begin to add enough exclamation points! This mug rug is absolutely amazing--beautiful birds, beautiful flowers, beautiful workmanship! I am so proud to have it and thank you so much. In addition she sent some yummy cording and a quilted card. WOW! Lucky me, lucky me, lucky me!

Aren't Norma's cards wonderful? The one I received from Lorchen today was great too--all projects she made on the front of the card.

Charae, that mug rug is gorgeous and I would not be surprised if the background fabric were one of Norma's own hand dyed fabrics! Wish the weather had not been so bad for you here--I live about an hour away from Baltimore and I don't ever remember the heat index at 110 degrees!

I'm sure you are right about the fabric, Renata. It is amazing! I love Baltimore, but on this trip I ventured outside only after work was done and it had cooled off "a bit" in the evening. The heat index didn't keep me from enjoying a crab... or two~

Horses, lizards and birds, oh my...a beautiful new set of pictures to admire! Renata, I hope those tomatoes were awesome. There's nothing like a sun-warmed & ripened home-grown tomato is there? Charae, glad you survived Baltimore. It's a bit better now, but still mighty hot, just not as humid. Now I'm off to find out why my email forum notifications have stopped :?

AND fresh tomatoes !! We've only had 2 and a few cukes...a handfull of green beans.... we have been so
hot and dry that garden sort of goes into a holding pattern...not maturing and just sitting there drinking up.
Well done ! Well done !!!

Nancy, I love roses and yours is beautiful. Love the colors you used.
Ritzy, you do fantastic things. I'm really impressed with all you have shown.
Lorchen, you are a master with your cross stitching. The colors are great.
Robyn, sorry I forgot you in the first round. It's a pretty hexie thing
By the way, I'm getting a bit nervous, because I sent your muggie at the same time as the one for Lotti. I hope it shows up soon.

And Marilyn, yours is on its way, too.
Hi Norma - yours arrived here a couple of weeks ago - you'll see it at the top of page 113 - I LOVE it....and there is no way Scampy boy is going to sit on it!

                            Rosemary,
Hope your muggie has arrived safely as it was sent the same time as Rita's and she's received hers. Just worry about the post sometimes. Been lucky so far and no problems and don't want there to be a first time.

Jane - I am just going to the post office now to send a little parcel over to you - hope it gets there quickly...not like my mug rug to Renata which seemed to go on a slow boat via the South Pole!

That's funny, Robyn, because I used to hate them too, but once I saw how they were used in modern quilts and in Japanese folded patchwork, I'm really warming up to them!
