Are you sure? I emailed the owner of the company about shipment to Ireland and Switzerland, it was $4.00. It's just a little envelope.Originally posted by PosyP, there has been some interest in the spiral eye needles from those of us in UK (and possible Denmark too) but the postage from the site is prohibitive
Just saying...

I hadn't personally checked the amount, but as a generality I am a bit leary about costs of buying mail order from overseas. Especially as sometimes we will get charged duty on the item, which Royal Mail collects, and they then charge £8 on top of that for collecting the duty owed (regardless of whether it is £1 or £8 or more). That is the bit we have to look out for. If, however it is sent as a gift from a 'domestic' address, we are less likely to get stuck with the duty (provided it is under a certain amount, which I cannot remember at the moment)Originally posted by suehenyonAre you sure? The advantage with Lorna is that she has a miltary services address here in UK and it eases the flow - as it were....

I just looked them up on her Nancy's Notions and they're on sale for $10.99 right now.Originally posted by ReetzbobeetzI was having a look at them from various websites this morning and Nancy's Notions have them for $14.95 which is a good price but then the shipment to Europe is $15. I think Rosemary is right about the domestic 'gift' as opposed to a business order.

I just ordered some of the spiral needles from Nancy's Notions. They are on sale for $10.99 right now. I had a problem placing the order online so I called them and learned that they had price point shipping which means if I bought 3 packages of those needles about the same cost as 3 yds of fabric I'd have to pay the same price shipping for either order even though one is comparatively weightless to the other. I complained. Price for shipping 3 pkgs of needles at pricepoint was $7.99. They agreed to send it to me for $4.95. Just wanted to share this information. I couldn't find these needles in the local shops. Have a great day everyone.

I don't know if they ship overseas, but Hobby Lobby has an assortment of sizes for $9.89 USD, regular price:

(for what it's worth, I use the size 24)
And, if you have a local Hobby Lobby, you can print out a coupon for 40% off! http://www.hobbylobby.com/weekly/wee...e=1&menu=1
