I posted earlier but my cable company decided to play around with town's connection. I like all the different ideas coming out.
Debbie, I will not be ableto be in charge of the next exchange, if I was 10 years younger I would. Things are always harder and take longer the older you get and at 75 I've certainly found that out. I'm very willing to help.

I think we are going to start a new Forum after the sorting is over & HSTs are returned. It may be called Chapter 3 - SoTTT's To Infinity and Beyond! Or maybe we could just leave the 'Chapter 3' off?? We'll have the SoTTT's Show & Tell in the Quilt Gallery, but the new 'chapter' can be used for posting pictures, asking questions, offering suggestions and whatever else suits your fancy  !!

I wasn't planning on starting a new one until all of the deadlines have passed and all of the packages have been returned. It would be extremely confusing if we didn't wait. It's confusing enough as it is now just because three exchanges were going on at the same time, so I certainly don't want to add to that  .

REPEATING YET AGAIN BECAUSE BASED ON SOME OF THE PACKAGES I'VE RECEIVED THE PAST FEW DAYS, SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT READING THIS SO I'LL CONTINUE TO TRY AND HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!!
ONLY FOUR DAYS REMAIN UNTIL THE FRIDAY, APRIL 1 DEADLINE...AND THAT DEADLINE IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE  !!!!
THIS BEARS REPEATING AGAIN AND AGAIN EVERY DAY FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T MAILED YOUR PACKAGES YETPLEASE USE THIS CHECKLIST AND IT WILL MAKE RECEIVING AND SORTING THE HST's SO MUCH EASIER ON EVERYONE INVOLVED!!!
AS OF SUNDAY, MARCH 27, I HAVE RECEIVED 482 PACKAGES CONTAINING 192,913 HSTs AND 46 OF THOSE ARE INTERNATIONAL...THAT MEANS THERE ARE STILL ABOUT 133 PACKAGES STILL OUTSTANDING. BASED ON THE FACT THAT ONLY 18 PEOPLE HAVE SENT ME EMAILS SAYING THEIR PACKAGE HAS BEEN MAILED OR WILL BE MAILED TODAY, THE CHANGES OF US REACHING 615 PACKAGES IS PRETTY SLIM. WE MAY REACH 200,000 HSTs, BUT I'M NOT EVEN SURE THAT WILL HAPPEN SINCE MANY OF THE OUTSTANDING PACKAGES ONLY CONTAIN 200-300. NO MATTER, THE SORTING EFFORT WILL STILL BE AN ENORMOUS EFFORT AND I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE HELP WE'LL BE RECEIVING THAT DAY
HERE'S A HELPFUL CHECKLIST TO USE BEFORE PACKAGING AND MAILING YOUR HSTs (which DO need to be received by FRIDAY, APRIL 1st (FOUR DAYS AWAY, so hopefully EVERYONE, especially members from outside the U.S. have already mailed their packages. I am waiting for only four International packages, so that might be it[/u]!)
____ HST's folded & NOT pressed open and paper has NOT been removed. DO NOT SEND MORE THAN 700 HST'S.
____ HST's have NOT been put into individual baggies, but have been neatly stacked & placed in a larger Ziplock bag (or smaller if
not sending that many)...see photo below. Remember we have to remove HSTs from smaller bags before sort day, so you
do not need to separate them into colors or counts. Only the TOTAL count is what matters!
_____ If including HSTs for Queensland, Hanne or Christchurch, those have been put into individual bags & marked appropriately.
____ Screen Name, Real Name and HST count has been clearly marked on the Ziplock bag.
____ If International, contact Clara Lawrence (SN: ClaraLawrence) to get information on how to charge your return postage on PayPal.
Review the 2nd Post on the 1st Page of this Forum to determine how many & what size boxes are required depending on
how many HST's you will be having returned to you.
____ If International, include your address label or labels, depending on how many return boxes you paid for, along with
a copy of your PayPal receipt. Review the 2nd Post on the 1st Page of this Forum to determine how
many boxes are required depending on how many HST's you will be having returned to you. Do NOT include a
return envelope because it CANNOT be used. We aleady have all the International Flat Rate Boxes required to return them.
____ For Domestic packages: Return envelope has stamps, your OWN address as both 'sender' and 'recipient'. Remember not to use
P.O. Box addess as 'sender' since it will be closed after the Exchange. If your package is returned there for insufficient postage, it
may wind up in an unknown  , unhappyhome forever. Also, if you are the 'sender', then it will get returned to YOU for
additional postage.
____ Mailing envelope is sturdy and is clearly marked with your ScreenName & HST count and it has been taped, taped & triple
taped to make sure it won't open on it's way to Katy.
____ Once package is mailed, send Debbie (SN: NaneeWolf) an email to her PROFILE PAGE (not as a PRIVATE MESSAGE
or Forum post) to let her know package is on the way. That way she can let you know by return email when your package arrives.
HURRY, HURRY, HURRY TO GET YOUR PACKAGES MAILED...OUR APRIL 1ST DEADLINE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!

Thanks for letting me know that package did arrive and everything was okay. I know we will be all be waiting for our mail lady (or who ever) to come driving to our mailbox with our triangles. Thanks to everyone assisted with this forum. But now I have the Dancing Queen song on my mind. I am starting a new job on Wed after being unemployed for over a year.
Thinking of what I'm going to do with my triangles but first I need to help my son with his presentation which will be this Sunday (Apr 3) at Quilt Show in town. He will be part of the "Young Quilters' Trunk Show". I signed him up to take a sewing class in 4th grade and now 3 quilts and numerous other items he made and has taken to fair but my son is a Freshman now involved in Football, Wrestling, Track, 4H, FFA, Danceline, church youth group and Upward Bound program. So he doesn't have a lot free time anymore not that he did before.

So if Chapter 3 is 'The Sorting', (although I suspect that we would probably let you off with not filling all 89 pages :lol: );
that would make Chapter 4 - 'To Infinity and Beyond!'
Ladies we have some serious communicating to do here 8) to fill the pages.

Hey, Rosemary,
Chapter 3 will not be the sorting...that's staying in Chapter 2. We don't need anything else to add to our confusion :? or our members!
And that's not going to happen until the HSTs are safely out of Clara and my hands and houses!
