Maybe if we had another Sisterhood of Traveling Triangles we could get everything correct, like how many, labels, postage, no smoking, numbers in the right place, sew on the lines, cut correctly, no open triangles, correct number of baggies to name a few. I'm sure we could do better the second time around if anyone is brave enough to try it.
A million thanks to everyone helping especially our Queen of the Bags who is sliding on all the plastic in her house. All my love and appreciation is going your way. I'm so looking forward to my triangle returns. I have to finish two quilts for high school graduation first.

Shirley...does this mean you're volunteering for our next exchange  ???
Once all is said and done, Arlene (Ritzy), Barb, Clara and I will probably come up with some tips (for all those future sorting queens waiting in the wings  ) based on what we've learned and what we would have :P , should have  , could havedone differently.
I've done my share of griping, begging and pleading on The Forum, but I have to say in all honestly, that this is an experience I would not have passed up for anything. Who could say they have had the opportunity to do anything like this before and who among us have ever participated in anything like this before? I am grateful that TQS has provided the platform and support for something of this magnitude. And I am grateful for all of our wonderful TQS members who joined the exchange and to all who have volunteered (especially Clara, our Sorting Queen and PayPal Saviour) to help throughout the process...and most of all for offering help for our upcoming sorting day! I wish all 615 of you could be there that day.
And, Margo, there are not enough words in the world that can describe how precious you have become to me! I would be climbing :? the walls by now if you had not always been there to talk me down  !
I have made numerous friends, both in the U.S. and across many International boards, that I hope will flourish beyond the SoTTTs. We're getting very close to finalizing the exchange, but let's not let this be the end of them.
OK...enough! It's starting to sound like an Oscar Acceptance Speechops: .

I don't know what you're talking about, Shirley...you certainly didn't insult me at all and I can't see where you insulted anyone else. Your points were very well made & well taken and I concur completely with all that you said. That's why I took the opportunity to mention that we should create a 'tip' sheet. But in all honesty I'm probably more like the Queen of the Buldge  than Queen of the Bags! Funny that this exchange hasn't helped me lose any weight...hmmmm, must be all the chocolate  people are sending!
Soooo...does this still mean you'll host the next exchange   !

Shirley - there will always be someone who gets something wrong,
doesn't quite read the instructions the same way as everyone else/miss-reads the instructions,
forgets to put something in the envelope,
it shows we are human.
We just need to try and do our best, and if in doubt go back and re-read the directions. As I recall Debbie saying in the first page somewhere  'Don't sweat the small stuff', we are supposed to be having fun!

This winter has gone by so fast I do believe it is because of the Sisters, who had time to look outside, it was more fun checking the computer, I will be watching for the postman (sorry letter carrier) I have two customer orders to finish then when the triangles arrive I will be able to play. Will be sending good thoughts your way when the sorting starts. Joan

Wouldn't that be super cool  if Ricky could do that for us!!! Then it could be used as the background music when they post a slide show on the Daily Blog.
The Guinness Book of World Records didn't pan out for us, but maybe Ricky will come through. Nothing fancy, just a lot of fun!

To be honest, I really hate to see the deadlines come and the exchanges end. It was just an amazing rush to log on every afternoon to read the "count me in" emails just explode in numbers. Then the wonderful posts all through the process. I look forward to reading these posts every day. Now it will be fun to see what everyone does with their strips/triangles..... and hear their online friends compliments to boot. The Quilt Show has given me many treasures through my years of membership. Beverly

I think we are going to start a new Forum after the sorting is over & HSTs are returned. It may be called Chapter 3 - SoTTT's To Infinity and Beyond! Or maybe we could just leave the 'Chapter 3' off?? We'll have the SoTTT's Show & Tell in the Quilt Gallery, but the new 'chapter' can be used for posting pictures, asking questions, offering suggestions and whatever else suits your fancy  !!
