To all the "Strippers",
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post an update. I had chemo on April 25th. It was a 6 hour day, but I did sleep through some of it. The next 2 days I was not feeling too good, but the nausea medicine helped. On April 28th I had a shot to stimulate the bone marrow to make white blood cells. For the next 3 days all my bones hurt so I was sure the stuff was working! So, between the nausea and the painful bones, I had a fun week! Needless to say, I haven't spent much time at the computer.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has been overwhelming. We always know that fellow quilters are an amazing group, but I only know you from the posts I have followed on the Strippers and HST sites. It proves that quilters extend their hands in friendship not only at home but across many miles. There are no words that can express how much your messages have meant to me.
Lotti, I want to especially thank you for sending in strips for me. That is probably the most generous gesture I have ever received from someone I've never meet. You are indeed a very special lady. Also, I want to thank all of you who have sent extra strips. I'll have to plan a very special project for them all.
I have 2 weeks before I have another treatment so I am hopeful I will be able to get to my sewing machine soon.
Thank all of you for your prayers,
Deanna

Good Morning! It's been about a week since the deadline to deliver strips, and if they've been there, I've missed the posts about the sorting and return of the strips. When may we anticipate our packages? (Can you tell I'm impatient? I can't wait to see all the beautiful strips that will be joining my stash!)

Yea!!!!!! Barb. Anticipaaaaation is making me wait..... (Sorry Carol King, or was it Carly Simon? It's not a good sign when you start confusing the artists. At least I still remember the music.) Patience, everyone, patience.

Ooh what fun NOW I'm excited. It took Amazon.com a month to get Edyta's book in, it was that sold out. I was so bummed at myself for not ordering it when I got the triangles book.
Anyway, proud that Michigan is once again abundantly represented in this exchange. Lots of good thoughts going out toward the sorters. I hope it's a good day.

I was sad to see that New Hampshire was not on the list seeing that it's really my home state. I now spend winters in Florida and mailed my strips from Fl. but there truly IS one member from N.H. So surprised that I am the only one from N.H.---there are many quiltmakers from there. Looking forward to finding my Strips in the mailbox. Thanks Barb, Mona80
