I'm in Vermont and anxiously awaiting my strips. I got Edyta Sitar's book for Mother's Day (the one with the houses on the cover). One of my emails today was from ConnectingThreads.com and Edyta Sitar's Friendship Strips & Scraps is on sale for 40% off (was $27.95 and now $16.77). Just thought you'd want to know.

I ordered Edyta's Friendship Strips and Scraps book from Laundry basket Quilts. I waited for a couple of weeks and the book did not arrive. Edyta's company very kindly sent another one. On May 6th the first book that was postmarked February 22nd arrived. Crazy huh? I contacted Edyta and she asked that I donate it rather than send it back. I am mailing this to Barb to be included in Deanna's package. This is such a beautiful book.... I hope that this adds some joy to Deanna and helps speed her recouperation.

Yeahhhh!!!! My strips arrived today....they are gorgeous....really sparkle, even in the ziplock bag! Since I did all three exchanges, it may take me a bit to get these "made up", but they will be lovely eye candy in my sewing room until I can get to them! Thanks, Barb, for coordinating this for us....great job and much appreciated! Nancy

ooooooooooooh ladies, what lovely lovely strips
i recognize a few here or there - and love them allllllllllll
and WANT everything (of course)
reallllllllllllly looking forward to getting my little lovelies in a week or three - yeahhhhhh
wren1010: thanks for passing that book on to deanna - even if she's not up to sewin for a little while - the book will be so good to look at and help with imagining what whe will do with them all.
yeah - can't wait - i've decided long ago that this is going to be a completely hand-pieced quilt - that way i can do it as i go & on the go - whenever and wherever i have a little time and free hands - have been exploring ways ever since i started cutting the strips to send

Whoo-hoo!!! My strips arrived yesterday - that was quick!!! Thank you Barb for a great job!!
I am especially grateful to have these beauties, because the 200 strips I exchanged came from our wonderful LQS that was destroyed in an EF4 tornado on April 27th!! A whole wall of gorgeous batiks completely blown away!!! The whole town of Ringgold, Ga., population 3000, was extremely damaged and 8 lives were lost...just gone in a matter of minutes!!! Very, very sad!!! Thankfully, our friends at the quilt shop had gone home because of the impending storms and their lives and homes were spared.Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland
