Ritzy, it would be great if you could take a photo of all the strips together before you start sorting. Mine should have arrived by now. The post office said 6 - 10 days. Maree

Ritzy is doing the batik hst exchange.

I do plan to take pics before we start sorting and counting the strips. I will post these along with the final counts and some other info I think is fun to know.

I know that shipping has been discussed, but can't find it now. What is the best way to send the strips. I have 100 cut and hope to finish up in the next couple of days. Can't wait to see what I get back.

                    I just want to share.

Did you see the "Quodlibet For Winter" quilt by joytoquilt that was recently in the TQS quilt gallery? If not, you can view it here---> community/ I love this quilt and think it's a wonderful use of batiks. However, it appears that more than 1 1/2" strips would be needed to make it.

FYI - The quilt pattern was designed by Judy Hasheider and you can order the pattern directly from Judy by sending an e-mail to mailto:[email protected]

                    Enjoy!

                      Hi Everyone,

As of this AM I have received 63 envelopes and a total of 10,096 strips. I have an additional 15 emails in my "strips mailed" folder.

I have sorted what I have gotten so far and green is winning as everyone's favorite color. Purple is #2.

If you are using PayPal for your return postage, please send me a note so Margo and I can make sure everyone is accounted for.

I have gotten a few return envelopes with no return postage on them - I have privately emailed those strippers. Please double check your package before you mail it.

Thanks to all of you who have sent such beautiful strips.

                      Barb

Here is a quilt I recently saw in a local quilt show that would work with strips. These are 2" (finished) but the format would certainly work for 1"(finished).

Margo, I really like the one you took at your local quilt show! There could be so many variations on that one! Love the yellow in the middle, like a spot light is shining on it! Pretty cool!
