That was fast, Rosemary. I tried the tracing feature first in Illustrator and it didn't come out near as good as yours. Instead I traced over every single line and discovered I can't trace as good with a mouse as I can on paper. At least there were a lot of repeat sections that I could copy and paste, and those circles were super easy, much easier than doing them with fabric!

Annis, I have a drawing tablet (Trust rather than Wacom) so I was using a 'pencil', but because the quilt in the picture isn't quite square - you only find that out when you start trying to put the long straight lines on - I ended up drawing the whole thing, no cut & paste for me 'cause it probably wouldn't have fit  But I did find out how to draw straight lines between 2 points on Gimp, so I am super pleased with that 8) . What I haven't done is check to see if mine is safe to 'bucket fill' on the computer, but you should be safe printing and using old fashioned colouring pencils

Good morning all! I have been trying to copy/paste the drawings that Annis and Rosemary had very nicely provided, but I'm unable to do so. I did try to do a search for the steps, such as 'lined drawing', but nothing came up. :? If someone could help me with the correct name to do a search that would be perfect. I'm sure it will be a "palm to the forehead" moment, when I find the answer!

                Have a great day!

First left click on the picture.
Next right click on the picture - you will get a small box of options up - choose 'save picture as' and left click - make sure you see where it is put (probably under my pictures)
You should then be able to find it and carry on playing either by printing it out or opening it in windows paint or any other drawing programme you use

This is presuming you are using Windows - if you are on Mac you will have to wait for someone else to come along and help

Rosemary, I used the photo in the December fabric instructions. It was almost square.

For a Mac, click on the photo, then drag it to the desktop. At least that's how it works on mine.

Yeah Annis and Rosemary. Thank you. I opened the outlines in gimp and am having so much fun with the colors. This is too neat. I should be doing year end payroll reports (we have our own business and I am the entire office staff), but there is always tomorrow.

Thank you Annis and Rosemary - you beat us to the punch! How I love this community! (she says as she works on the fabric situation right now)

I did check the background and the color stayed where it was supposed to, but I didn't check all of the little pieces. I tend to work on a project until it's done unless I get distracted or something more important comes up, so that's why I finished so quickly. Now it's time to eat my lunch, leftovers from last night, and move on to other things. Have fun coloring!

Thanks!!!!! I'm planning to use the Ricky Tim's hand dyed fabrics in my stash, which aren't my usual color palette, and had not yet decided which color to put where. This will surely help with my decision.

I printed the Fabric requirements, and my printer did not print the colors correctly (missing some red ink...), so the flowers turned out yellow, and I have to admit, it looks like I found MY colorway! So, turquoise/aqua for the background, and different shades of yellow/yellow-orange for the flowers, plus a few greens for the leaves, stem, etc. This will not be a scrappy look, but I intend to use more than 4 greens, more than 4 yellows - but only 4 turquoise. Ordered from Jinny Beyer Studio, can't wait to get started!

My computer printout was also missing the first four colors. The rest of the colors came out fine, so I know it was not that the ink was low, printer was broken, computer connected to the printer, etc. Any ideas what could have happened? I can't figure it out (of course I'm not a computer whiz).
