I'd say it's just because you haven't done the seams that join them all together and it will work out when you finally do those seams. I wouldn't worry about it until then.Originally posted by moneil50 View PostOOPS! Don't know what I did wrong.. I have a 4" "gap" . As a newbie, not sure how to fix or what I did wrong... At this point, I’m thinking what type of buildings I will use. Plan on including local businesses that are our favorites (restaurants and shops) along with special places we’ve traveled to. As far as embellishing, mostly will be signs with the business names and try to add any distinguishing architecture.Originally posted by susanmcdonald View PostCarole, what plans ,if any do you have for buildings? Or if you are doing buildings, or more houses? My concern is that if I embellish the small house, will it look funny if buildings are not equally embellished? Thank you.
I wouldn’t worry about differences between houses and buildings. IRL, houses tend to have more details than buildings.Carole Berry

Thanks, Sharon! So far, it’s gone pretty quickly. I’m now working on attaching the houses to my background and find dealing with the wholecloth linen rather cumbersome, mostly because I added a stabilizer on the backside. The linen is from a local fabric store here in NH. It’s actually a light lilac color, but that doesn’t show well when using my phone for picOriginally posted by sharondavis169 View PostCarol, This is fabulous! I love this done in wool. It must have taken many, many hours of work, but well worth the effort. I just might try it in wool. Where did you get your linen background?Carole Berry

I was able to start at the end of February and do January, February and then March. I am loving this BOM, the first I have done with The Quilt Show. I chose to use Ricky Tims hand dyed fabrics, mostly scraps so far, for the houses and center. I chose a blue with white dots for the background so needed something else besides a blue center medallion. I thought the oranges looks like the sun shining on my world to brighten my colors.
