Do you mean you have 8 sets of 4 houses sewn together? Why?

I used envelopes and letters for the background because that’s how my world connects!

Finished my small houses. Really pleased with the freezer paper piecing. We are in lockdown so using my stash.

Are they all sewn together, or just in pairs of two?

Two photos of my small houses - one with my assistant Charles - and the other with the color layout. I am enjoying this quilt. A big thank you to all the folks at TQS - but especially Alex and Barbara. -Mike

Your house 'spectrum' is very appealing to the eye!

I'd say it's just because you haven't done the seams that join them all together and it will work out when you finally do those seams. I wouldn't worry about it until then. Your houses look great!

I'm still working on this month's houses. I love seeing what everyone else is doing, they all have such a different flavour to them. Will post mine when I've finished.

Houses sewn in pairs and I THINK in an order I like. Sure is a long time waiting between months! Just finished sewing 4 yds of brown binding into bias tubes for trees. Have a 2nd pkg of it if needed.

You did a great job arranging your order of houses. I like the black 'pops' of doors and windows.

At this point, I’m thinking what type of buildings I will use. Plan on including local businesses that are our favorites (restaurants and shops) along with special places we’ve traveled to. As far as embellishing, mostly will be signs with the business names and try to add any distinguishing architecture.

I wouldn’t worry about differences between houses and buildings. IRL, houses tend to have more details than buildings.

Carole, I am curious as to what detailing you will add to tall buildings.. I too am doing a bit of details, but I have no idea how to handle the tall building!

Thanks, Sharon! So far, it’s gone pretty quickly. I’m now working on attaching the houses to my background and find dealing with the wholecloth linen rather cumbersome, mostly because I added a stabilizer on the backside. The linen is from a local fabric store here in NH. It’s actually a light lilac color, but that doesn’t show well when using my phone for pic
