Thank you again for all your prayers and encouragement. I have posted a pic of Alfred James on my profile, so as not to overtake this topic. Just look at the size of his femur (upper leg bone) compared to the size of his mother's thumb! (and she's a small boned gal)
He can breathe on his own and just needs to put on some weight and prove that he can feed and keep his body temperature before he can go home from hospital.

      What a miracle!

Well, as I remember a few days after giving birth, the hormones set in and jangle you up. I think it was such a day for my DIL, but it was for me too! :S I felt good after a big cry. I really want to go to see him. Maybe very soon.

You don't need hormones monkeying with your body to have the sort of experience you've been through to reach emotional meltdown level. What enormous stress and relief and concern you've had. You've been though a lot and a good cry was/is very much in order/normal. Perhaps it will allow some much needed rest to take over. Thoughts and prayers continue.

Hi Dawn, my husband is doing well but it's early days but we hope he will be able to have a double bypass but his heart has to get stronger yet.
I don't know if he will be home for Christmas but we are hoping so.
The level of care he has had from the nursing staff has been wonderful.
I thank you all for your good wishes and prayers.
Beautiful baby Terrie so glad all went well congratulations to you all
                            Hugs to you all.

                              Dear Anne,
I am so pleased that your husband is doing well, I will be praying for him, you and all the family. Please remember to be kind to yourself too.
Sending very warm wishes, prayers and hugs.

Update on my DH ...he is very weak but is not in CCU anymore but is in a step down ward I think that is to get him prepared to go home.
He will be in there for Christmas, he say's he feels safe there. I think it is the best place as I don't feel he is well enough to come home yet.
In about 6 weeks time they want him to have an MRI to see if his heart has recovered enough to have a double bypass or possibly get another stent into the semi blocked artery. I did not ask the doctor what is the prognosis if they can't do anything as my DH could hear us talking.
My son flew over from Australia as soon as he heard. Both my son and daughter have been wonderful, I could not have managed without them.
I wish you all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful new year
