Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. I was released from the hospital this morning, and am feeling much better. At least I can function on my own. The meds have me slung out, and the doctor says I need to continue taking them for a few days. There is no way I can get out and do the things that need to be done toward the nursing home situation with my mom and take valium and antivert three times a day. I was told that Feb 6 would be her last day in the nursing home. I'm going to the Medicaid office tomorrow and try to plead with them to work on her case. Please just continue praying (as I am doing) that everything will work out.

Sure will continue to pray for you! Be careful and don't overdo. I know that is a whole lot easier said than done, especially in your current circumstances, but you have to take care of yourself in order to be able to help your mom. Don't feel guilty about what you can't do, just do what you can and trust the Lord to work it all out. Hope that doesn't sound uncaring. I really do care and I cannot begin to understand all the facets of your emotions or your circumstances but I know The One who does understand completely and I will be praying for him to give you peace in particular.

Mary, you continue to be in my prayers. I'm so glad you are home. Do be careful to take care of yourself--you are important, too. Without stressing yourself out further, is there anything that you can be doing online or over the phone about your mom's situation rather than getting out and about? Just a thought. I'm keeping in prayer the "powers that be" in the offices that you are dealing with that there would be a lightbulb moment to help your mom immediately. God bless you.
Praying for Diane as well that there will be healing and a fast recovery.
And a little FYI--added to my prayers is a prayer for those of you reading this site who have requests that you cannot find the words or the strength to share. You are being lifted up--"cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you".
Blessings,
Jane

Hi, Jane, That verse of scripture is one I have on my signature. It's what I used to tell my kids as they went off to school. I am still learning to take that advice and to cast all my cares on the Lord. I am adding my prayers for all those mentioned here and those who have unwritten needs. Thanks Jane.

Hi Mary, I'm sorry I didn't see your post before today. I am a long term care Ombudsman and would be happy to talk to you about the long term care issues you raised about your mom. I do it every day, with lots of people. Please email me and I'd be happy to help. Take care of you!

Please add me to your prayer list I lost a dear dear friend this week, she was a lively 85 yr old two weeks ago we had a birthday party for her and she was so happy she just glowed. Then last Sunday she was rushed to hospital and the doctor said it was a ruptured aneurism ( probably spelled wrong) that she would only last two days. She was alert and lasted until her children were able to fly in, he was right on, she passed Tues morning. I am feeling so sorry for myself I will miss her so much, I want to be just like her when I grow up, she was a true angel.

Praying for everyone's cares and needs.
Please add me in your prayers. A little over two weeks ago I found a lump between my right breast and armpit. It was not there back in December when I had my annual check up. Yesterday I had a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. Seems to be a fibroid lump and the doctor recommended a biopsy of the lump and the lymph node near by. I'm having the biopsy today in the afternoon and will get the results next week.
DH is at work and won't be back until Friday of next week. Have no family or close friends near by. Having to go thru this on my own and staying strong to take care of DS (four) and DD (seven) is really hard. Keep hopping is just a big scare and not something major.

Joan, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.
Limbania, I am so sorry that you are having to go through this health scare on your own without any close support. Please know that the prayer warriors are on this and we are always here if you need us.
Hugs and prayers for you both.

Limbania, I'm lifting you up in prayer---had that scare once myself-- and Lord willing your biopsy results will turn out to be nothing to waste time worrying about. Praying for your children as well as your DH since love wraps you all together.
Joan, I am sorry for your loss--you must miss her very much already. How wonderful to have had her in your life. She sounds like a lovely person.
Remembering Mary and her mother in prayer and hoping the situation took a turn for the better.
My niece's neighborhood was hit by a tornado last night in Georgia. She and her DH and three children are all safe and well--a bit of damage to their house but nothing as devastating as their neighbors' homes. Please remember them in prayer. Our son is flying here this Sat. and spending the week job hunting here in Ohio since he has not found a living wage earning job in Georgia for many months. I ask for your prayers for Tim and his wife Beth that God sustains them through this and wisdom and direction in the job search.
Thank you all and God bless each of you in a special way today that puts a smile on your face as well as in your heart!
Jane
