Update on Dalton, Emily and Sgt Joe. Dalton is doing great, he now walks with a cane and will actually get feet within the week. He and Emily are now in an apartment. Looking forward to see them next week.
Sgt Joe is making progress, finally ready to leave the hospital after almost 5 months. Will be in rehabilitation and physical therapy now.
Please keep praying for them as they still have a long road to go.
Thank you so much.

Thank you all for your prayers. After a couple of setbacks (over-medication) and a second stint in the hospital, my mother is doing very well. We currently have 25-hour care from a private company. Mom is doing so well, that I am considering cutting out the afternoon shift. Mom still has not tried to get herself a meal or drinks from the refrigerator on her own. Currently, the doctor is asking for blood pressure to be taken 3 times a day, which she cannot do on her own. Getting around in the house is no problem for her now, with her cane or walker.
She is really enjoying the company of some of the caregivers. Once they are no longer coming, she will go back to being very sad and lonely.
I'm having trouble accepting Mom's limitations and increased needs. I really need to work on this within me.
I haven't been able to be on here regularly, but read through all the requests tonight and am praying for all the needs listed.

All of DH's travels went well last week, if exhausting. He than had to go on a course for work this week about 4 hrs drive away. Yesterday evening he was in so much pain that he was helped to the local A&E by the landlady of the hotel he is staying in. A night in hospital with morphine & antibiotics, various scans today, he has been diagonsed with appendicitis  We will have to wait until the morning to see whether the antibiotics will fix things or whether they will have to do something a bit more drastic. His boss is being great and will take the over the organising & costs for sorting out to get him home etc - he was using a hire car until today when he should have been home.
Despite the late night phone calls last night, it wasn't until I spoke to his boss today and he said not to worry about anything, that I thought 'should I be worrying about things?' All I can really do at the moment is to sit tight and wait until things develope, rushing down to him would be counter productive & make me harder to get hold of if it was necessary.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio
