16 grandchildren for me!..They were all here Sunday to exchange Christmas gifts. What fun. Good food (lots of undiet food!), everyone happy (big thing), hours of gift openings, and we finished the evening with a white elephant bingo. Total of 26 of us here. My DS and DIL could not make it. They do not have children, so all the grands were here. What noise!!!

Batteries Not Included! Now there's a name for an art quilt, hmmmm
Been keeping busy this afternoon with a clean up and using some of my left overs from other quilts. The following one was made from the left overs from a quilt I made forGranddaughter Myriah. When her little brother started talking he would pronounce it as, My Riah! And I think the two of them truly belong to each other, as she refers to him as 'my baby Junior' whenever she talks about his accident with fire. He tried to be a Lotti and walk thru the coals at 16 months. Long story, he's very much a survivor, and a true thriver!
And a drawing of Junior a year after the incident.
Off to get some supper.

Wendy, so glad Thomas Henry is here. When will you get to see him. Glad everything is ok.
LuAnn, Where's home?
Geneva, Saying a prayer for that new baby and Mom too?
I have 6 grandchildren. Don't get to see any of them enough. Thank goodness my nieces live in town and I get to see my Great Nieces and Nephews nearly every week. There are 6 of them under 12.

Lois,
Home is with my Grandkids. They live in northern Illinois, northern Wisconsin , and the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. If they all lived here in South Carolina, or within 3-4 hours of driving, I wouldn't have the 'homesick blues'. I lived midway between all of them when I was in Green Bay, WI. I could go for the day if I left early and returned late, but I could spend time with them when I wanted to, or there was a need.

What a crew, Ritzy. You could soon be a 'great'! Aren't they such a blessing. I think it would be nice to have them all spread out like that. Mine are all so close together if they all visit at once, I feel like I have a daycare going on at home. And, when they get older, all the graduations and wedding will probably happen at the same time.

Congratulations Grandma's everywhere (sure hope I don't join your ranks for quite some years yet!) As for babies not arriving when they supposedly should - well, they haven't read the books about what they are 'supposed' to do! so they are making it up as they go along - just like the rest of us

Congratulations Wendy!! I'm so glad everything ended up good for your new grandson. All these new babies lately, wow! Lots of little boys too. Too bad we don't all live close to one another so we could have a big quilter Grandma playday.
I hope it all goes smoothly for your daughter Geneva.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio
