Just an update on my 'bright' blocks. Starting to think, Hmmmm, now what should I do with these. How should I arrange them, should I do something besides stacking them next to each other? Something more Victoria Findley kind of creative? Hmmmmmmmmmm

If I was given these blocks, I would go to my stash and find a bright green - enough to use as sashing and border, and set them on points.

        Just saying...

I agree with Andree. The little green in each block really pops out and the green sashing and border would be great.

Well, we'll see where it goes, won't we. Although Might be months and months. I really liked this circle and applique she did, too!

Well, I came here to apologize as the photo was removed as didn't have permission. Evidentally they obtained it. I'm here to say, sorry, Capt. John (or whoever) I didn't even think about the fact that it might be illegal. And Sorry to Victoria. Live and learn.

Enjoyed watching this one yesterday. I had thought of doing something like this after reading something similiar on Bonnie Hunter's blog. So a while back I cut up a load of scrap paper into 2 1/2" strips and put them in the box with my scraps for stitching up 'sometime'. Yesterday when re-arranging things (read putting fq's away properly  ) in the sewing room, I upgraded the size of box my scraps were in (and added the baggies of pre-cut strips), Then I decided to sit down & stitch up a few strips, ended up with about 11- 2 1/2"x 8" (some of them are longer because I cut some paper strips lengthwise and others crosswise) Absolutely no Idea what will become of them, but at least they are turning into a more useable size, and I am coming to terms with what size is actually worth saving

Well seeing as you brought up Ms. Hunter....I did the same. Somebody posted a photo of a scrappy stars quilt they had made to Bonnie's blog and I just loved the orange star points. I happened to have a piece I had made after taking Jane Dunnewold's class on Craftsy and decided to do the same. It's not quite finished as I still have to quilt the border (which I made using left over four-patches, HSTs and odd strips of 4"). I did quilt as you go on this one too. And yes that is a blue sky in the background - but it didn't last long.

It's a good lap quilt size and heading very soon to a friend recovering from surgery.
