Wow, Karen! How did you manage the logistics? I would love to hear the details!Originally posted by kfstitcherThanks for the picture of our quilt hanging in the show! We 9 friends met through TQS and each made a segment of the quilt based on a photo. Dana Lynch, Carol Moellers, Cindy Bell Neville, Mary Holman, Mary Kay Runyan, Wanda Myers, Bridget Lilja, Hanne Grete Brink and I are very happy and excited to have it in the show.

It really has been so much fun working together from all our different locations. We have group meetings to plan and make decisions online. Only seeing part until we can get together at the show for a first look at the complete quilt for most everyone except the one who quilts or binds it.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio

I'm just now catching up after the madness that is Paducah! It was so nice to meet you, Connie, and you have done a fabulous job reporting on Quilt Week! I'm so flattered that you are "obsessed" with my quilt, Charm School! So funny! And I wish I would have gone with you to make those darling sheep! Oh my!! LOVE!!
Thanks to everyone else for your very kind words about my quilt! I was SOOO not expecting to even win at Paducah, much less, win a purchase prize! I'm going to miss my quilt, but I know it will be well taken care of at the National Quilt Museum, and I hope to visit it again next year, if not sooner. I adore that museum!
Congratulations to everyone who entered a quilt! It was truly a stunning show! SO, until next year....Quilt Happy!!Back to Quilting!

Oh, what a great blogspot! I felt like I was revisiting Festival. Good for her, to print across the pictures! Too many times a picture of a wonderful quilt floats around the Internet without giving credit to the quilter! I totally agree with her reasoning behind putting her blogspot stamp on it!Originally posted by pam7040Mellymoo, Here is a link to a blog which shows Liz Jones's quilt. I have a question (actually a series of questions) for any competitive quilter who might drop in. I've been to Paducah 3 times now, and know that the great quilts I see there have often been previously entered in other shows (Houston, MQX, Road to California, etc). How does a quilter decide which shows to enter, and in what order? Does the fact that Paducah has purchase awards for the top winners affect that decision? Inquiring minds want to know!

That is why you see quilts in other shows before they are in the Paducah show!Originally posted by gynconnieI have a question (actually a series of questions) for any competitive quilter who might drop in.
