            Christine,
I have a question. Would you look at my pink block again and let me know how that fits in, if at all, in this week's lesson? I'm thinking it might be good for an intense color block?
            Thanks.

Sure! To my eye (and the color is never completely true in a photo), the center fabric is the most intense. The background fabric and corner squares are also quit clear; that is, they aren't really grayed. The large triangles are hard to categorize because the fabric is so dark in value, making them seem less intense. You could intensify the block by using a different, more brilliant color for the large triangles, maybe repeating one of the dot colors in the background fabric. Hope that makes sense!

Are the photos of these blocks you gals are talking about posted here, or is this private?

Ya ops: ops: ...I'm curious. But I want to do all the exercises for this class - I'm following the videos, just I might only start the exercises after Christmas...

Terrie, if you go to the Classroom for this class you will find a 'view entries' tab and that's where the show and tell is.

Thanks, Rita, for letting Terrie know how to see the color studies. And Terrie, you can certainly do the exercises later, after the holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you who are viewing and creating!

Thank you for your critique, Christine. I'll try to get around to playing with it.

Maybe I'm not looking the the right place. Where are the block patterns? I really want to do all the homework as the doing is what will instill it in my brain. I don't have a computer quilt program and guess I'll use the blocks for a charity quilt anyway. Really like this course material so far. So informative and beyond the basics of color.

The blocks are in the classrooms. Click on the pdf downloads and print them out. They are listed with each lesson.

But bare in mind that these are not for making but for cutting out and sticking to the printout. The measurements won't add up for a real block as there is no seam allowances.
