I agree, Rita! The housework can wait, but an idea for a new quilt can't. It's my kind of "color therapy." ops:

This one made me smile...trying for the mixed temperatures. I would never have believed I liked red.

Susan, I am loving that purple & red quit too. I love what the varied temperatures do for the design.

Susan, I could so easily curl up by the fireplace with a good book and a throw like the quilt you designed. Love the color combination! :P

Hi Susan, Wow! Using warm and cool colors makes for a balanced, vibrant design. Thanks for going beyond the block exercise and showing us an entire quilt. I'd love to see it also with a lighter blue in the plain squares, something a bit lighter than the background in the blocks. I think it would create a strong sense of depth and be interesting in comparison. Something to do in your copious free time, right? (Christmas, is it really Christmas?)

OMG This is so addicting. Problem is...I was hemming a pair of pants, tried them on and & the amount of cat hair they attracted is embarrassing. I have to stop doing the hobby and clean for awhile or else the health department will be in here

I would like to know how to get jpegs of new fabric lines to add to EQ. I know they add some from month to month, but wouldn't it be cool if we could pick and choose?

Oh my gosh, Susan, I love that you combined the blocks from the first two exercises. I didn't even think of that. And your second quilt really shows what a difference value makes. You get extra credit, for sure!

I love the way the two blocks play together. Unexpected surprises!

I've seen in the EQ newsletters that you can get virtual swatches from the fabric manufacturer's Web sites, but when I've followed the links it has always looked like you have to get them one fabric at a time. That was too tedious for me so I just collect the fabric libraries that EQ puts out each month. But if you have a specific fabric you want, or have more patience than I do, then you can get them from some manufacturer's Web sites.

For what it's worth, you probably can only download one fabric swatch at a time--it was subject of discussion when I went a Bernina educator-led workshop on the Bernina V 6 software and this question was raised. If I discover anything different, I'll let you know. It would be nice to download whole collections at a time, but collections are so fungible with new collections coming on line so often within a year--there probably would not be enough room on our computers to store all the collections we like.

Thanks for another great word Renata!

Fungible definition, (especially of goods) being of such nature or kind as to be freely exchangeable or replaceable, in whole or in part, for another of like nature ..

Are you sure that it has nothing to do with mushrooms? As in 'there is not mus(c)h-room left in here, now I've added all these collections'
